VOLUNTEER WORK
Giving back to the community is an essential part of personal success. For that reason, I have volunteered countless hours in different areas of youth and adult developmental growth.
-
I volunteered with the After School Recreation Program at Oster Elementary School in San Jose, CA to mentor and guide children with their social and physical growth in 2003.
-
I spent time working with a class of K-3rd grade hearing impaired children and developed my American Sign Language (ASL) skills in 2010.
-
I devoted my time as an alumni to assist with hosting and judging National Speech and Parliamentary Debate Tournaments at the University of the Pacific, Stockton campus and the Santa Clara State University campus throughout 2010 - 2014. These have included both High School and College levels of competition. Additionally, I served as a Peer Mentor and Coach for undergraduate students at the Modesto Junior College to help write, edit and practice Platform Speeches, Interpretive Duo events and Debate.
-
I volunteered hours, along side other Workday colleagues, to build bicycles for underprivileged children in Miami, FL
-
I volunteered hours to help build, decorate and revamp the animal agility and outdoor park area alongside the Workday Education Department and Milo's Foundation in 2015.
By volunteering, I have helped make a difference in my community as a teacher, mentor, an educator, and a leader to individuals of all ages. I look forward to many more future endeavors as life moves forward.... full speed ahead!
"Make today worth remembering."
